Parts Manager
Full-time | Red Deer, AB
The Role
- Lead daily Parts Department operations, ensuring parts requests, orders, and distribution are completed accurately and with urgency.
- Source and purchase heavy-duty truck, trailer, engine, and drivetrain parts, factoring in price, quality, and supplier reliability.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, part locations, and pricing aligned with current shop demand.
- Coordinate with the Service Manager, Foreman, and technicians to reduce delays caused by missing or incorrect parts.
- Lead, coach, and mentor Parts Department team members, including one-on-ones and performance feedback.
Requirements
5+ Years Heavy-Duty Parts Experience
Journeyman Parts Technician Certification
Parts Leadership Experience preferred
Fullbay Software Experience preferred
Inventory & Purchasing Experience
- Strong heavy-duty truck, trailer, and engine parts knowledge
- High attention to detail in part numbers, pricing, and documentation
- Strong purchasing judgment with an understanding of cost, margin, and freight
- Experience with inventory control, purchasing, and vendor management
- Comfortable using shop management software and digital communication tools
- Clear, professional communication with customers, vendors, and staff
- Accountable, self-motivated, and takes ownership of department outcomes
- Able to lead, coach, and hold team members accountable
